We started Brandt & Levie because we saw so many things going wrong in the meat industry. So we launched our own sausage production to prove to the Netherlands that there was a different way. We've been producing the best charcuterie exclusively from properly raised Dutch pigs since 2011.
So much sausage is made from pigs who have led horrible lives, and that includes pigs in the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark. That has to change!
We work exclusively with properly raised pigs - our own pigs raised by friendly farmers and organic pigs raised right here in the Netherlands. All of our farms meet the highest animal welfare standards.
Our range is made using the entire pig. Nothing goes to waste. In addition to dried and fresh sausages, we also produce pâtés, pancetta, liverwurst, and frankfurters.
